The SAWOTEC Mini MN-36NS-Z / MN-36NB-Z is a compact electric sauna heater designed for small home saunas for 1–2 people. This versatile model is available in two configurations: with a separate control unit (MN-36NS-Z) or with a built-in NB control unit (MN-36NB-Z) for convenient all-in-one installation. Thanks to its minimal footprint, the heater is perfectly suited to apartment saunas and compact sauna rooms where space is at a premium. Despite its small size, it holds up to 10.5 kg of sauna stones for stable, authentic Finnish sauna heat.

Wall-mount the heater at the recommended height, observing minimum safety distances. Connect wiring per the electrical specifications (230V or 400V as applicable). For the MN-36NS-Z model, connect a compatible separate control unit. For the MN-36NB-Z, use the integrated NB controls to set temperature and operating time. Always consult a qualified electrician for installation.
- Set your desired temperature using the control unit (separate or built-in).
- Set operating time (1–4 hours) or use delayed start (up to 6 hours ahead).
- Allow the heater to warm the stones — typically 30–45 minutes for a 3–6 m³ room.
- Pour small amounts of water over the stones to create steam.
- The heater switches off automatically when the timer expires.
What is the difference between the two variants?
The MN-36NS-Z requires a separate control unit (not included). The MN-36NB-Z has a built-in NB control unit with timer and thermostat — ideal for a cleaner, all-in-one installation.
What room size is this heater suitable for?
