▶ What surfaces can Taroil Wood Oil be used on?

Taroil is ideal for thermally modified wood and is suitable for hot tubs, saunas, boats, jetties, log houses, garden furniture, terraces, garden houses, and wooden surfaces being prefinished.

▶ Does Taroil need to be diluted before use?

No dilution is required. Simply shake the product well before and during use, apply a thin layer with a brush or cloth, allow it to absorb, and then remove any unabsorbed oil from the surface.

▶ How many coats of Taroil should I apply?

Between 1 and 4 layers are recommended, depending on the quality of the surface and its intended use. Allow each layer to fully dry before applying the next.

▶ Can Taroil be used on painted or varnished surfaces?

No. Taroil is not suitable for painted or varnished surfaces. For best results, apply only to clean, bare wood that is free from dirt, fungus, and other substances.

▶ How long does Taroil take to dry?

When applied in thin layers, drying time is between 1 and 7 days depending on weather conditions and the type of wood being finished.

▶ Can I change the colour of Taroil?

Yes. Taroil can be toned using paint pigments to achieve your desired shade.

▶ How do I safely dispose of used cloths and woodchips?

Used cloths and woodchips soaked in Taroil can self-combust. Before disposal, keep them moistened with water in a sealed container, or burn them immediately. Liquid waste must be taken to a hazardous substances collection point.
