Surface Preparation
Wooden surfaces must be dry before application — maximum wood humidity of 15% and air relative humidity below 80%. Old surfaces should be cleaned of dirt, fungus, and other removable substances (e.g. with sandpaper) before applying Taroil.
How To Apply
- Shake well before and during use.
- Apply a thin layer of Taroil to the surface using a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb fully.
- Remove all unabsorbed oil from the surface.
- Allow to dry, then lightly polish before applying the next layer.
- Pay special attention to the ends of wooden surfaces.
Apply 1 to 4 layers depending on the quality and intended use of the surface. Taroil can also be toned using paint pigments. Maintenance treatment can be carried out annually if required.
Note: Taroil is not suitable for varnished or painted surfaces. Use strictly as directed.
Drying Time
When applied in thin layers, drying takes 1 to 7 days depending on weather conditions and the type of surface being treated.
