A membrane underneath isn't essential on most leisure buildings, but IKO now recommends their Glass Fibre Underlay (Type 3B) or standard roofing felt as extra protection in case shingles ever lift. We stock both if you'd like the added peace of mind.
Each tile has a bitumen strip that seals in sunlight, but we recommend Shingle Glue on ridge tiles, leading edges, colder-month installs and exposed locations for a faster, more secure bond. Not recommended on roof gradients under 10 degrees without extra overlap and glue on every tile.
