Olivine diabase is one of the most thermally stable stone types available for sauna use. These stones are highly durable, resistant to cracking under repeated heating and cooling cycles, and carry a high heat capacity — meaning they absorb and retain heat effectively for longer, more consistent löyly sessions.
Available in size range 5–10 cm, supplied in a 15 kg package. Rounded stones are strongly recommended for HUUM heaters — avoid decorative stones as they can fracture under high heat.

Rounded stones complement the distinctive open design of HUUM heaters and produce a milder, more even steam. Decorative or angular stones are not recommended as they can fracture under repeated high-heat cycles, potentially damaging the heater.
